- Logs will vary in shape and size but generally our seasoned logs are between 20 to 35cm in length and fit in standard log burners however this can vary. We would recommend either buying a net sack to start with to see if the logs are suitable or you could pop down to our shop, have a look in person and say hello to the doggies while you're here!

- We also sell Kiln Dried Firewood; these logs are very uniformed in shape and size and are normally slightly smaller than our seasoned logs due to the way they have been processed and stripped of bark. They generally sit between 15 to 25cm.

- The clue is in the name - Kiln Dried Wood is wood that has been force dried inside a kiln, whereas Seasoned Wood is wood that has been dried out naturally.

- Kiln Drying can take as little as 1 week whereas natural seasoning can take anywhere from a few months to a year or so.

- As Kiln Dried Logs have been force dried under controlled conditions the wood can generally be lower in moisture, but all wood sold should be below at least 20%.

- For our seasoned wood we always aim for below 20% to be safe an, Kiln Dried often sits between 10 – 15%. So, the main difference is not necessarily the dryness and moisture level but how it is physically dried out.

- Yes, we can make deliveries to allotments, if there is vehicle access.

- If you have ordered a Bulk bag or Jumbo bag, we can crane this off our van and over low bearing fences or as close to the allotment as possible if there isn't direct access to your plot in the allotment.

- The other option is to order in Barrow bags as these can be wheeled on a sack barrow trolley and we can generally take them directly to your allotment plot, within reason.

- Jumbo bag: 1m3 | Bulk bag: 0.65m3 | Barrow bag: 0.20m3. - Jumbo Bags are just over a cubic meter once filled, , if you have the space then it is always cost affective to buy in Bulk, these can be craned onto the drive or front garden.

- Bulk bags are just under a cubic meter once filled so again if you have the storage these are great and not as big as the Jumbos. For reference there is approx x2 Bulks to x1 Jumbo bag. - Barrow bags are great for storage convenience, they fit on a sack barrow trolley and can be wheeled into the garden or garage. For reference, there is approx. x3 Barrows to a Bulk and x5 Barrows to a Jumbo.

- Better Burning Efficiency: Dry firewood burns hotter and more efficiently. Wet or “green” wood wastes energy boiling off excess moisture, which reduces heat output and makes your fire harder to light and maintain. - Less Smoke and Ash: High-moisture wood produces thick smoke, more soot, and creosote buildup. This not only affects air quality but also increases the risk of chimney fires and frequent cleaning needs. - Cleaner and Safer Fires: Seasoned or kiln-dried firewood with a moisture content below 20% burns cleanly and reliably, giving off more heat with fewer emissions. It’s better for your stove, your chimney, and your lungs. - Protects Your Appliance: Consistently burning wet wood can cause long-term damage to wood burners, stoves, or open fires due to cooler combustion temperatures and acidic residues. Lower moisture means cleaner, more efficient burning. All our firewood is below at least 20% moisture, with kiln-dried often at 10–15%. We are Ready To Burn Certified / Woodsure Approved so our firewood moisture levels are always guaranteed.

YES! We offer FREE DELIVERY to all of Milton Keynes and anywhere within a 20-mile radius of MK17 9FX. This includes most surrounding areas like Leighton Buzzard, Buckingham, Olney, Towcester, Bedford etc. Nationwide delivery is also available-simply enter your postcode at checkout for a cost estimate, or contact us for details.

Yes, a minimum order does apply for delivery: - Within 10-mile radius (MK1–MK10, MK14, MK15, MK17, LU7 postcodes): £10 minimum order. - Between 10–20 miles (MK11, MK12, MK13, MK16, MK18, MK19, MK46, MK45, LU3–LU6): £50 minimum order. - Outside our standard zone? Contact us-we may still be able to deliver for a small fee.

YES! Add our 'Stacking Service' to your order and we’ll transport and stack your logs in your storage area (garage, shed, log store). Please note: We cannot stack logs inside homes.
